The 1910-D Ten dollar gold eagle is part of a series of Indian head gold eagle coins struck from 1908-1933. Struck in Denver and designated as a Business (MS) strike, this coin is made of 90% gold; 10% copper from a mintage of 2,356,640 struck.
Obverse: The obverse bears the portrait of a Native American chieftain in formal headdress struck incuse with the words LIBERTY at the top and the date at the bottom. 13 stars across the top periphery, and the date appears at the bottom.
Reverse: The reverse features a majestic eagle perched atop a branch, holding an olive branch in its talons. The words UNITED STATES oF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and TEN DOLLARS appear at the top periphery, right of the eagle's neck, and the bottom periphery, respectively.
